RULES FOR CAMPGROUND, LAKE & RANGE

You must be a member of Decatur County Conservation Club to rent a lot at the campground.  Membership is $90.00 per couple and $50.00 for singles.  You must be 18 years or older.  You must fill out an information sheet and sign a Liability Waiver.

Lot rent is $750.00 per year and is due by the 1st of April.  If your lot rent is not paid, you will not get water or electricity until paid in full.  If you plan to stay in your camper all season, it is $100.00 more each month.  It is due on the 1st of each month.  This is not a permanent address, you may not receive mail at the DCCC address.  You must list everyone who will be staying there.  You cannot move others in with you without notifying the Executive Board/Committee.  You can make payment to Treasurer or mail your payment to:

If selling your camper, the person buying it must have approval by the Executive Board/Committee if they plan to maintain the lot.

·        Lot rent is not transferable to the new owner. 

·        If you have a lot and want to move to another lot that is available, lot rent goes with you since you were already here.  That is the only way it is transferable. 

·        If a camper is sold after July, it will be prorated. 

You must let the officers know each time you plan on staying more than 4 days and 3 nights and it must be under special circumstances (such as vacation time).

No campers over 30 feet long.

No one is allowed to stay at your camper for more than a couple of days and nights.

·        They must be a member.

·        You must let the officers know if you are not going to be there.

Lot must be kept clean and clear of trash and debris and must be kept mowed.

·        If you make an agreement with lawn service provider or weed eating service provider, or anyone else, you are responsible for paying for it, not DCCC.

·        No junk vehicles, broken down golf carts, mowers or ATVs are allowed on lot.  If they do not run or are not being used, they must be removed.

·        No large trailers unless temporarily being used to deliver tractors, mowers, golf carts, etc. for use at DCCC.

·        You cannot use your lot(s) for storage for anything that is not campground related.  This is not a storage area.  It is a campground.

·        Wood must be off the ground 1 foot.  Only stock the amount that is needed for campfires for the season.  Firewood must be kept neat and orderly. 

No children under 12 are to be out running around after dark without their parents or guardians.

No children 12 or under are to be left alone at the campground.  Parents will be held accountable.

All dogs must be on a leash and not running free.  This rule is to protect the other campers as well as the dog owner.

·        If a dog causes any damage or hurts another dog or person, the owner will be liable for all costs for damages and injuries.

·        If a dog gets loose, you must get it contained immediately. 

·        If repeatedly seen off leash, you will receive a warning.

·        After the 3rd warning, dogs will be barred from campground.

·        If seen after the 3rd warning, animal control will be called.

·        If animal abuse or neglect is seen, the member will receive a notice.  Animal control will be contacted immediately if the situation is observed a second time.

There is ZERO tolerance for thieves.  Do not take anything off someone else’s lot without permission.  This includes firewood.

No harassment of any kind to any person will be tolerated.

No loud music and parties after 11:00 PM during the week and 12:00 AM on the weekends.  Please be considerate of other campers.

If you need a tree cut down, you must let the Officers know so it can be approved.

·        You are responsible for hiring someone that is insured to take it down for you. 

·        The club is not responsible for paying for it unless it is approved by the officers and committee board.

Campers must turn their water, AC, and lights (inside and outside) off when they leave for more than four hours.  The only thing that can be left running is your refrigerator. 

No swimming, wading or hunting on the Decatur County Conservation Club’s property.

State rules for fishing also apply to fishing at the Conservation Club.

Anyone caught damaging the club property or anyone else’s property will be banned from the club and held responsible for damages.  There are active cameras being used.

Decatur County Conservation Club is not responsible for any loss or damage due to fire, vandalism, or acts of nature and is not responsible for any accidents.

All boats must be kept in proper areas and have stickers or their owner’s ID. 

Golf Cart Rules:

·        No speeding, reckless driving, or racing on golf carts.  Golf carts must be driven slowly.

·        The owner of the golf cart is responsible for any accidents or damage caused by their golf cart.

·        You must be at least 13 years of age to drive a golf cart unless accompanied by an adult.

Shooting Range Rules:

·        You must be a member to use the shooting range. 

·        The hours are sunup to sundown.

·        Shoot at targets or mound only.  No glass targets.  No propane or helium tanks.

·        Clean up your mess when you leave.  Do not leave any trash.  This includes shell casings. 

·        Do not leave any misfired shells on the ground or in the burn barrel.  This is a safety hazard.

·        No Tannerite is to be used.

I agree to follow all rules and regulations pertaining to the Decatur County Conservation Club properties or facilities described above.  I agree that I have received, read, and understand all the rules and regulations of the Decatur County Conservation Club.

I recognize that there are certain inherent risks associated with the above-mentioned and I assume full responsibility for personal injury to myself and (if applicable) my family members that are on the facilities with me and further release and discharge Decatur County Conservation Club for injury, loss or damage arising out of my, or my family’s use of or presence upon the facilities, whether caused by the fault of myself, my family, any third parties, or the acts of Nature.

I also acknowledge that Decatur County Conservation Club is not liable for any damage to, by any personal property, or by any acts of God and nature, including, but not limited to vehicles UTVs, golf carts, campers, or pets. 

I agree to indemnify and defend Decatur County Conservation Club against all claims, causes of action, damages, judgments, costs, or expenses, including attorney fees and other litigation costs, which may, in any way, arise from my or my family’s use of or presence upon the facilities of Decatur County Conservation Club.

I agree to pay for all damages to the facilities of Decatur County Conservation Club caused by any negligent, reckless, or willful actions by me or my family.

By signing below, I agree to release the Decatur County Conservation Club from all liability, costs and damages which could arise from participation in any event or activity on said property or facilities.  I agree to accept full financial responsibility for the full costs related.
